Barnstable WPCF Nitrogen Removal & Headworks Upgrade - Barnstable, MA

The project work includes: Upgrading the Barnstable, MA, Barnstable Water Pollution Control
Facility.

Process System Installations and Modifications:
-New Headworks Building.
-Provide two new coarse mechanical bar screens and two wash presses.
-Provide one new screenings conveyor.
-Provide one new automatic sampler.
-Provide two new vortex grit removal units and all associated grit removal equipment (two pumps and two grit washers).
-Provide two influent flow measurement Parshall flumes.
-Provide three odor control systems and all associated equipment.
-Provide combined screening and grit dumpster.
-Provide motor operated and manual gates.
-Install flow diversion box to overflow to Equalization Tanks.
-Provide sump pump.
-Provide new plant water piping and connections.
-Provide new piping, valves, and appurtenances.
-Existing Secondary Clarifier Distribution Structure (Re-named Aeration
Bypass Structure).
-New Hydrogen Peroxide Building.
-Provide pre-fabricated building to house equipment.
-Provide four chemical feed pumps.
-Provide one outdoor chemical storage tank.
-Provide new piping, valves, and appurtenances.
-Existing Solids Handling Building.
-Provide process piping and valve modifications to provide the
option to convey septage from this building to new Headworks
Building.
-New Fine Screen Building.
-Provide three rotary drum screens and three high pressure booster
pumps.
-Provide motor operated and manual gates.
